Troldhaugen was the home of Edvard and Nina Grieg, a gathering place for intimate house concerts with talented musicians from all over Norway and Europe.
In the spirit of Edvard Grieg, the Northwest Edvard Grieg Society invites you to join us for “Musical Pairings,” a house concert with soprano Laura Loge and composer and pianist Steven Luksan at the home of Janet and Al Berg.
In this intimate setting, you will enjoy musical compositions by Edvard Grieg, Peter Heise, Halfdan Kjerulf, Frederick Delius, and Steven Luksan. You will learn about the stories behind the music as you are mesmerized by the sounds of one of the city’s finest Steinway grand pianos and the enchanting tones of our own Norwegian songbird.
Enjoy the hospitality of the Northwest Edvard Grieg Society at the post-concert reception in a beautiful home and mingle with fellow music lovers.
If you haven’t yet become a member of the Northwest Edvard Grieg Society, $25 of the non-member ticket price of $50 may be applied to your membership and you wil be able to attend all subsequent house concerts at the member price of $25. Students may apply $15 of the $20 student ticket price towards a membership.

A house concert sounds like a very different experience from attending a regular concert hall, especially with the audience sitting so close to the performers.
