NWEGS is collaborating with Music Works Northwest for the 2025-2026 school to introduce students and teachers to the wonderful world of Nordic music, from Grieg and beyond. Concerts, workshops, and coachings are in the planning stages. All public events will be offered free and will be shared here when finalized.
Nordic Songs and Sketches

- Featuring music for flute, voice, and piano by Edvard Grieg, Steven Luksan, Jean Sibelius, Øistein Sommerfeldt and more.

- Sunday, May 2 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho
- Tuesday, May 4 in Dillon, Montana
Norwegian pianist Oda Voltersvik will perform a program exploring dreams through piano music by Edvard Grieg, Wilhelm Peterson-Berger, Frédéric Chopin, Pauline Hall, and Maurice Ravel. Her performances bring the music to audiences further outside of the city, giving them an opportunity to hear a master at her craft in their hometown.
