- Shorewood Performing Arts Center (map)
- Tickets available soon
On the 150th anniversary of its creation, we are mounting the ever-popular Incidental Music for Henrik Ibsen’s Peer Gynt by Edvard Grieg. Transcending the music, this production aims to return the fantastical story of Peer to its central position in the play through a slew of musicians, folk dancers, actors, disembodied voices, and extravagant adventures to far off exotic places. A collaboration between the Northwest Edvard Grieg Society, Choir of the Sound, & Thalia Symphony, this rendition will be nothing if not over-the-top.
Featuring:
- Thalia Symphony, Joseph Pollard White, music director
- Choir of the Sound, Jeremy Matheis, music director
- Micah Parker, baritone
- Laura Loge, soprano
- TBA, dancer & choreographer
- TBA , Hardanger fiddle
- TBA, Folk Dancers
Concert duration: 90 minutes
The music will be sung in Norwegian with English dialogue — translations will be provided.
This concert is supported, in part, 4Culture, ArtsWA, & ArtsFund. We are truly grateful for their support.
