Highly-accomplished Swedish women (Songbirds) of the past two centuries were working in a field unwelcoming to their gender, yet in spite of that produced exquisite music. Jonathan-Spatola Knoll, pianist and expert in this repertoire, will collaborate with the Nexus Quartet and soprano Laura Loge in a program exploring the beauty of chamber music created by these women. From a piano quintet, to solo works, to opera and songs, they’ll perform works by Elfrida Andrée, Laura Netzel, Helena Munktell, Amanda Maier, and more.
