Northwest Edvard Grieg Society will be taking part in Seattle-Bergen Sister City Association’s fifth annual Edvard Grieg Gala. Among the many wonderful performances of Grieg’s music will be his beloved song cycle, Haugtussa, Op. 67, performed by Laura Loge, soprano and Knut Erik Jensen, piano. Also on the program will be Grieg’s Sonata no. 1 for piano and violin with virtuosi Allion Salvador and Knut Erik Jensen, and piano compositions by Grieg as well as Geirr Tveitt and Christian Sinding, all part of one great musical heritage.

This concert has become known for its highly artistic and expertly performed renditions of Edvard Grieg’s music and celebrates the composer’s birthday every year, this being his 175th. Come enjoy some stellar performances!
